This web site is a journal of sorts, a work in progress which will be updated with new projects as they take form. I've chosen some of my favorite work to share with you which includes images from my hometown community in Northern California, documentary work from Appalachia and travel images from India, Cambodia & Thailand. They reflect my approach to photography which is, above all, connecting with my subjects and the environment they live in. Thank you for viewing!

Bio

I work in the San Francisco Bay Area as a freelance photographer shooting editorial, photojournalism, weddings & portraits. Aside from roaming around the states, my travels have taken me to Central America, Asia, Europe & Australia. I have a BA in Journalism from San Francisco State University and have been published in Wired, The International Herald Tribune, London's Sunday Independent, The Australian Weekly, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Washington Post, ESPN News, Forbes.com, The San Francisco Chronicle and cover photography for Elizabeth Gilbert's book, The Last American Man (Penguin-Putnam, 2002). I live in San Francisco and make frequent trips to my family's farm in Modoc County, Northern California
